Dufour Yachts - Gib'Sea 51

The Gib'Sea 51 is the flagship of the Dufour Family cruising line. Created for the charter market and further developed into a private cruising yacht, the GS Dufour 51 offers the best of all the Gib'Sea line of innovative and sensible design implementations.

The standard cabin layout boasts five cabins. Two doubles astern, two doubles just forward amidship and the separate crew quarters in the forward bow area with separate head accessible by bow deck hatch. The two midship cabins have their own heads and can convert from bunks to a double in minutes. The galley and salon are opposite midship and facilitates meal preparation and serving to the dinette that can seat 8 - 10 people. The separate nav station is just aft of the galley to port and features the 12v and 110 panels and instrumentation. This is a well thought out floorplan with immense room for socializing and accommodating the family and friends.

On deck the GS 51 cockpit is the focal point of the boat. The twin wheel design, low coaming and pass-thru transom all combine into a functional and comfortable area of the boat. Wide side decks and the "Dolphin Nose" assist in anchoring and setting a gennaker.
